Program

Plain English Training (Option 1) on 27th & 29th June | 2-4.30pm | Online

  • When does it take place? The training runs over two afternoons.
  • How many places are available? 15 places
  • What you’ll learn? The know-how and skills to write and edit your own printed or online information in accessible language. The training uses real-world examples allowing you to apply what you learn in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. And it directs you to freely available resources for your future work.
  • Who’ll deliver the training? Sean Driver from NALA, the National Adult Literacy Agency.
  • Where is it delivered? Online.

Joining A Board on 18th July | 10am-12.30pm | Online

  • How many places are available? 30 places 
  • What you’ll learn? What joining a board is all about. It particularly aims at encouraging Travellers to join the boards of local, regional and national Traveller organisations and strengthen the boards’ capacities.
  • Who’ll deliver the training? Donal McKenn facilitated by Carmichael. 
  • Where is it delivered? Online.

  • How many places are available? 15 places

Trauma Informed Practice on 10th & 17th Aug | 9am-1pm | Online

  • When does it take place? The training runs over two mornings.
  • How many places are available? 15 places
  • What you’ll learn? How to recognise, understand and respond effectively to trauma in your work and how to review your service to ensure it is a safe environment for people who are trauma survivors. 
  • Who’ll deliver the training? Quality Matters
  • Where is it delivered? Online.
  • This training will issue a certificate of completion if all modules are completed.
